Virgin River is a 10-episode Netflix series based on the book series by Robyn Carr. Starring Alexandra Breckenridge, Virgin River follows Melinda Munroe, who takes a job as a nurse practitioner in the remote Californian town of Virgin River. Munroe soon discovered that leaving behind painful memories isn't as easy as she thinks nor is small-town living. The series follows Munroe on her quest to heal herself before she can truly make Virgin River her home. At The Research House we were fortunate enough to read the scripts and produce clearance reports. We enjoyed working on the script reports as a team and cannot wait to see Alexandra light up the screen.

SPOTLIGHT ON: This year's BC Spotlight shines particularly bright with three world premieres from exciting fresh voices. Three of which we had the pleasure of working on the Script Reports. 3. Red Snow Red Snow is an important film that centers on a Gwich’in soldier played by Asivak Koostachin. Cut between the Candian north and the Middle East, the carefully crafted film follows Koostachin, who, when captured by the Taliban, is confronted with the tormenting memories he believed he left behind in the Canadian North. Directed by Marie Clements, her intention with the film is to incite discourse around violence against women, racism and social inequality. Ultimately, bringing attention to the strength and resilience of indigenous woman and girls. Red Snow will premiere at VIFF as part of the Sea to Sky stream.
